The Honorable President George W. Bush,
Greetings in the precious name of Jesus.
As a disabled vet, with hearing loss, I want to offer my thank you for you and your wife’s dedication to the troops. I hope to see that same caring and support in the next person to sit in the Oval office. The Bible says in Mark 12:17 And Jesus answering said unto them, Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's. And they marveled at him.
The Bible says there is wisdom in an abundance of counselors. One thing that can be done to improve the Invictus games is not to restrict the broadcasting to just ESPN. Many veterans, like me, choose not to pay the extra fees to get ESPN coverage. I would have to say many cannot afford the fees to get ESPN. These veterans are effectively locked out. If I understand correctly from coverage I was able to get, the purpose was not only to motivate those participating in the games but also to reach out to the many vets who have come home and are dealing with loss of limbs, PTSD, suicide, and more. I realize Disney was one of the sponsors and ESPN in under their corporate umbrella. It just seems to me that the organizers might have chosen a better vehicle to reach my brothers and sisters in arms.
One of the many noteworthy things I remember about your Presidency was how you supported the troops. I was in the Air Force my first hitch and retired in the Coast Guard. While my vessel did ops on the 100 mile curve, protecting our fishing rights, we had to get a no objection from the State Dept and the President before we could seize a vessel of another country. I’m thinking of the Japanese fishing fleet that routinely violated our fishing grounds with numerous violations. You always came through for us.
Thank you, for your service, it was and is appreciated!

Thank you, Reverend Wright
Dear Reverend Wright,
Thank you for your correspondence to NewDay USA informing our Foundation Board members of the new website you have created to help transitioning Veterans.
I have reviewed the site. It provides very good information in a very useable manner. It will surely make a difference for those who have served our Nation.
We will indeed share the word with our colleagues about this wonderful service.
We also thank you for your service, Sir. I have operated with the Coast Guard while I was in the Navy, conducting counter-narcotics ops in the Caribbean. It was a great partnership and continues to be so.
Thanks again for the information on American Legion Post II’s initiative.
Sincerely and Very Respectfully,
Joseph D. Stewart (USN, Ret.)

Thanks for all the effort to collect information to help the veteran transitioning to civilian life.
It is our desire to provide transitioning veterans with a website full of resources that will aid in their job search. It is a work in progress and with your help and comments it will improve. Have a blessed day. - Rev Keith American Legion Post 11 Pickens, SC
